PT Manager's Timer Handles The Rest, So Your Eyes Stay On The Row

PT Manager's Timer Handles The Rest, So Your Eyes Stay On The Row

In short: Today's first post gave the method for finding which muscles a row trains. The second explained why breaking a heavy set into small pieces, with a short rest built inside it, lets a client lift more than they could unbroken. PT Manager's Live Analyser carries a beep timer built for exactly that middle part: set it to count down the rest, and it beeps and repeats on its own, camera on or off, so a trainer's attention stays on the client's line rather than a stopwatch.

Two posts, one gap in the middle

Today's first post named the muscles working through a row. The second explained why breaking a heavy set into small pieces, two reps, fifteen seconds' rest, two more, lets a client lift more than they could get through unbroken. Neither post, on its own, tells a trainer how to actually run that fifteen seconds without glancing away from the client at the exact moment their form matters most, loaded and tiring.

The timer that doesn't care what the exercise is

PT Manager's Live Analyser carries a beep timer built for exactly this. Set the countdown to fifteen seconds, and it "counts down, beeps, repeats" on its own, running whether the camera is on or off. A trainer coaching a row's cluster set sets it once at the start of the block and then spends every one of those fifteen seconds watching the thing today's first post was actually about, whether the body's staying in one straight line while the client waits for the beep.

Watching the row while the numbers run themselves

Alongside the timer, the same screen carries the live skeleton, reading joint angle, depth and tempo, and a rep tally. None of it needs a phone held up and checked between reps, "on-device only, nothing leaves your phone," which matters most in the exact moment a cluster set creates, a client mid-set, tired, needing eyes on them rather than on a stopwatch.

Signing up and passing are still different moments

PT Manager doesn't wait for a certificate before a trainer can open the Live Analyser and get familiar with it. That starts the day someone signs up with FASTER. What passing a course adds is real clients, so the same timer that's free to practise with today is the one running in a paying session once Movement Trainer (AFT), covered in today's second post, is passed.

What to do next

Today's first post covered reading a row. The second covered why a heavy set gets broken into pieces. PT Manager is where both get coached in real time, open the moment you sign up, with the full toolset switching on the day you pass a course.

Frequently asked

Does the Live Analyser only work while the camera's running?

No. The timer runs on its own, camera on or off, so it can count a cluster set's rest even in a session where the camera isn't out.

Does it count reps for any exercise, including a row?

The rep counter has presets for a squat, a press and a hinge, plus a skeleton-only tracking mode that works on anything. The timer's beep doesn't care what the exercise is at all, which is why it fits a cluster set on any lift.

Do I need to have passed a course to use it?

PT Manager opens the moment you sign up. Adding real clients, the part that matters for coaching a paying session, unlocks once a course is passed.
