Break A Popular Workout Into Parts, Rebuild It Your Way, And PT Manager Keeps The Result As A Template For The Next Client

In short: PT Manager's Programme templates room, in Set-up, keeps the programme shapes a trainer reuses, a single session or twelve weeks, alongside FASTER's own skeleton shapes. A trainer saves a programme they built as a template, picks it for a new client and gets their own copy to edit. The template and every other client's programme stay unchanged. It follows the Motor Skill Application Specialist habit of breaking a workout into parts and rebuilding it for one person. PT Manager opens at sign-up and is free with any FASTER course.

A rebuilt workout should not be rebuilt twice

Today's second post covers Module 1 of the Motor Skill Application Specialist course: take a popular workout, list the joints in order, and rebuild it around one person. That is careful work. Doing it again from scratch for the next client with a similar goal wastes the best part of the effort.

PT Manager keeps the result. The Programme templates room, in Set-up, holds the programme shapes a trainer reuses, anything from a single session to twelve weeks.

How it works

A trainer builds a programme in the usual way. When it is a shape worth keeping, they save it as a template. The original programme carries on exactly as it is.

When the next client arrives, the trainer picks the template and PT Manager makes a copy for that client. The copy is the client's own. Edit it as much as you like and the template stays as it was, and so does every other client's programme. A shared link between them would mean one edit changed everybody, which is why using a template is always a copy.

FASTER's shapes sit alongside

The page lists FASTER's own skeleton shapes next to a trainer's own, so the room shows the whole library in one place. A trainer who has taken a workout apart can start from a FASTER skeleton, or from their own saved version.

Where this meets the other two posts

Today's first post covers the Level 3 task of writing a SMART objective, such as growing a client list by a set amount in three months. A goal like that is easier to meet when the next client's programme starts from something already built, and the Clients room holds the list you are counting.

What it does not do

A template is a starting shape. It does not choose the exercises for a client or decide the loads. Those stay the trainer's call, which is the point of rebuilding a workout around one person.

Two ways in

PT Manager opens the moment you sign up with FASTER, so you can set it up in your own name straight away. Adding real clients unlocks when you pass a course. Someone new to the industry gets it from the start through the Certified Personal Trainer route. A trainer who is already qualified comes in through Movement Trainer or any course above it, with no need to repeat Level 2 and 3. Today's second post comes from the Motor Skill Application Specialist course. PT Manager is free, and nobody takes a cut of your sessions.

Frequently asked

What is a programme template in PT Manager?

A programme shape a trainer reuses, from a single session to twelve weeks. Picking one for a client gives that client their own copy.

If I edit a client's copy, does the template change?

No. Using a template makes a copy, so the template and every other client's programme stay as they were.

Does it come with templates?

FASTER's own skeleton shapes are listed beside a trainer's own, so the page shows the whole library.

Can I save a programme I already built?

Yes. Anything a trainer has built can become a template, and the original programme carries on exactly as it is.
