Today's Two Posts Both Start From What You Already Have, And PT Manager's Exercise Generator Names Every Combination

In short: Today's first post covered the three numbers a new trainer can track, and today's second covered the Motor Skill Application Specialist list of variables, which gives one movement an almost unlimited supply of new tasks. PT Manager's Exercise generator is a combination machine: the trainer picks a load, a joining word, base movements in the rows and second movements in the columns, and it names every row and column combination in full. The trainer stars the keepers and leaves the rest. It opens when a trainer signs up with FASTER, and adding real clients unlocks when they pass a course.

Two posts, one starting point

Today's first post was for someone thinking about becoming a personal trainer: three numbers to track from the first month. The second came from the Motor Skill Application Specialist course: a list of variables that gives one movement an almost unlimited supply of new tasks.

Both begin with what a trainer already has. A diary with clients in it, or a movement the client can already do. Neither asks for something new to be invented.

A combination machine

PT Manager's Exercise generator takes that second idea and does the combining. The trainer chooses a load, such as two dumbbells, and a joining word, such as "and". Base movements go in the rows, and second movements go in the columns.

Generate, and every row meets every column. A two-leg balance in a row and a hand press forward in a column come out as one named exercise, written in full with the load in front.

The trainer still chooses

The page is built around a simple fact: some combinations will be great, and some will have the sequence off. Telling the difference is the craft, so the generator does not choose for you. The trainer stars the keepers and leaves the rest.

Generators can be named and saved, for example "Dumbbell balance + press family", and printed, so a good set stays in the trainer's own library for the next client.

Why it sits beside the variables

The MSAS lesson on variables says they will form the skeleton of the exercise generator. A variable changes the environment around a movement without changing the movement, and the generator gives a trainer a fast way to list the options before picking a few. A trainer with a long list of ideas for one client's movement can keep developing that client's skill and never reach for a random exercise.

Signing up and passing are still different moments

PT Manager opens the moment someone signs up with any FASTER course, so a trainer can build generators in their own name straight away. Adding real clients unlocks the day a course is passed. Frequently asked

What does the exercise generator do?

The trainer chooses a load and a joining word, lists base movements in rows and second movements in columns, and the generator names every combination in full.

Does it choose the exercises for me?

No. It lists the combinations and the trainer stars the keepers. Some will have the sequence off, and telling the difference is the trainer's craft.

Do I need to have passed a course to use it?

Building in PT Manager opens the moment you sign up with FASTER. Adding real clients unlocks once you pass a course.
